Client: Fannie Mae
Role: Art Director, concepting
Concept: Fannie Mae fosters more than simply a “work environment.” It’s a place to go above and beyond. Not only in a job role but in a career and in a pursuit of making something truly worthwhile. So we’re highlighting these A-gamers within Fannie Mae. Sharing their journeys toward a bigger purpose. Because we’re doing more than just work. We’re building the future of housing.
The idea: Subway hustle. Morning and evening traffic. Quick lunches. Where in all of this chaos do we reach our target audience? We put them face-to-face and eye-to-eye with themselves. Like many that have a job, they may not be actively looking for a new one—but want them to ask themselves, “What if you could do more with your skills?” We’re not asking as a corporation, instead we’re having our current employees ask you.
Posters: Clean, black and white portraits of current Fannie Mae employees. Their expressions feature a small smile, confident gaze and a non-verbal suggestion that they’ve got something you might be interested in. Around their faces, handwritten notes provide a glimpse into their daily life at Fannie Mae, achievements, plans, aspirations.
Billboards: Succinct and clean, asking the bold question and making the statements that cause you to question where your passion lies. Makes you consider what the future might hold.
Client: Kodak
Role: Art Director, concepting
Concept: This one’s for those who see beauty beyond lcd, those who value holding a print in their own hands. The designers, art directors, writers, illustrators, students who thirst for new techniques, tools and machines that bring creative to life. We’re calling on all creatives to live beyond the screen, to make something worthy, to command the power of print with Kodak NexPress.
The idea: We will harness the power of print at our fingertips by using a phase we all know and will give it a new meaning; command print. Thanks to the speed, quality and innovation of Kodak’s NexPress printers; all of us can bring our work out of 2d and into the tactile world.
In order to spread the word of this innovative technology we proposed the following tactics:
Posters on command: Through a pop-up presence at design events, a selected designer/illustrator creates a unique print for each day of the conference. Inspired by their experiences during the day, the piece is printed at speed via a NexPress and dispersed the following day. A complete series is available at the end of the conference.
Design awards: We design a national ⌘P award program which recognizes inspiring prints made on the NexPress. Awarded designs are featured in Kodak’s Kodachrome magazine.
⌘P lives on in social: We invite the creative world to tag their beloved print pieces with #commandprint. Specially selected tags are printed in annual commemorative book.
Client: Oneida
Role: Art Director, concepting
Concept: Lay it down
Idea: The cadence of a restaurant is filled with competitive percussion. Everyday our chefs drive themselves and teams to deliver, to exceed and crush all expectations. The feast they throw in front of us is the culinary craft they concept and curate, and Oneida is the vessel that holds it, bakes it, shapes it and serves it. We are moving at their pace, helping them lay it down.
Type: Much like cascading finishing sauce on a plate, it’s raw, viscous, emotive and rich with passion.
Brochure: The brief revealed what having the right serveware means; it’s an essential appendage, something which bestows pride and confidence. It provides chefs an opportunity to express of their soul.
Email: Their attention to detail is unmatched. Reaching, crouching, leaning, they will do whatever it takes to ensure each dish leaves with their curated vision.
Anthem Video: A sensory experience of the kitchen that rarely garners the respect it deserves. We echo the pace of a restaurant environment: an entire fish plopped onto a piping hot charcoal grill, a full dishwasher clanking, banging, a sharpened knife held up for proper inspection. In the mix of hard work, pressure and energy we see Oneida products–in sync with their world.
