When I’m out in the world, I search for stories people are creating when they think nobody is looking. Could be a visible emotion, or maybe an interaction with the environment around them. I want to share these single seconds with my audience and encourage them to write their won story about what they see.
Client: Truth Collective
Role: Art Director
Photographer: James Bogue
In addition to a still portrait on bio pages, the agency wanted to portray some of their individual personalities/interests through a cinemagraph. This allowed them to have some fun and showcase some Rochester pride by celebrating locations in the area. We would begin the process by getting to know each persons’ passions, skills and any places in the city that held special meaning.
Once a location/scene was chosen, James and I concepted around what “movement” would be the focus of the piece and then storyboarded how it came to life.
Personalities, Passion, Locally Grown Pride.
